Plumbing Maintenance & Membership Plans

Annual inspections, priority scheduling, and exclusive member pricing.

What ongoing plumbing maintenance covers

Plumbing systems degrade gradually, often in ways that are not obvious until a fixture or line fails outright. Supply lines age, water heater sediment builds up, shutoff valves seize from lack of use, and small drips go unnoticed until they cause damage to cabinetry or flooring. Scheduled maintenance is built around catching these issues during a visual inspection rather than waiting for a failure.

Iron Horse technician greeting a homeowner at the door

Iron Horse Advantage includes a 25 point plumbing safety inspection. Visible supply lines, drain connections and fixture symptoms are useful places to look for developing problems. Tell the technician about sticking shutoffs or changes in hot water before the inspection. The technician walks through each area, noting anything that shows early wear, such as a slowly dripping valve or a water heater nearing the end of a typical service life, and discusses findings before leaving.

Iron Horse Advantage membership details

Iron Horse Advantage is the plumbing and HVAC membership program, valued at $641 annually across covered services, with the first system covered at no charge and each additional HVAC system added for $97. On the plumbing side, membership includes the 25 point safety inspection along with a standard water heater flush, which helps reduce sediment buildup inside a tank water heater over time. A tankless flush is available separately for members at $89.

Members receive 90 minute response and a dedicated VIP phone line. Materials and service discounts of up to 20% apply to plumbing work performed outside the covered maintenance visit, which can meaningfully reduce the cost of a future repair or installation.

Spend It Again credits go toward upgrades: HVAC system $2,700, duct system replacement $1,500, IAQ products $1,000, tankless water heater $1,000, and sewer, drain or pipe replacement $2,500. These credits are not combined with other discounts on the same invoice.

Why routine inspections matter for plumbing specifically

A worn supply line behind a washing machine or under a sink rarely gives advance warning before it bursts, and a water heater's anode rod silently depletes until the tank begins corroding from the inside. Visual checks can reveal staining, corrosion or a drip at an exposed connection. An inspection cannot show every hidden fault or predict a tank failure, but findings give you something specific to address.

The same plan also includes a spring HVAC visit with outdoor condenser coil cleaning and a fall HVAC visit checking heating operation. Plumbing care is part of Iron Horse Advantage, not a different membership with separate benefits. For details on joining or scheduling your first inspection, contact the Tempe shop at 1917 E 5th St or call (480) 808-9990.
