HVAC Preventative Maintenance Plans
Two seasonal tune-ups, priority service, and member-only pricing.
Why Two Seasonal Visits Instead of One
An AC that only gets attention once a year often has a heating system that nobody checks until the first cold snap, when a cracked heat exchanger or failed igniter shows up as no heat on the one night it matters. Iron Horse Advantage includes a spring HVAC visit with outdoor condenser coil cleaning and a fall visit checking heating operation. A heat pump uses shared equipment for both modes, while a furnace has an ignition sequence that cooling alone will not exercise.

What Each Visit Covers
The spring visit includes cleaning the outdoor condenser coil, which collects monsoon dust and debris over the year and directly affects how efficiently the system rejects heat. The fall visit checks heating operation. On a furnace, ignition and airflow affect how heat reaches the home; a heat pump switches the job of its refrigerant circuit. Report unusual sounds or rooms that failed to warm up last winter rather than assuming summer cooling proves heating is working.
What Membership Adds Beyond the Visits
This coverage is part of the Iron Horse Advantage plan, which includes membership free for your first system and additional HVAC systems covered for $97 each, so multi-unit homes are not paying full separate plan pricing for a second or third system. Members also get 90 minute response and a dedicated VIP phone line, a discount of up to 20% on material and service for repairs found during a visit, and a 25-point plumbing safety inspection along with a standard water heater flush included, with tankless flushes available for $89. There is no separate standalone plumbing plan since this membership already bundles that coverage with the HVAC visits.
Spend It Again credits go toward upgrades: HVAC system $2,700, duct system replacement $1,500, IAQ products $1,000, tankless water heater $1,000, and sewer, drain or pipe replacement $2,500. They are not combinable with other discounts. The plan has a $641 annual value. Having two seasonal visits gives both operating modes attention, rather than checking cooling and assuming the heating side is ready for winter. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the spring and fall visits?
The spring visit focuses on cleaning the outdoor condenser coil ahead of cooling season, and the fall visit is a heating operation check before furnaces and heat pumps run again.
Does the plan cover more than one HVAC system?
Membership is free for your first system and $97 for each additional HVAC system. That price is for an additional system in the plan, not a service call or new equipment.
Are plumbing checks part of this plan too?
Yes, a 25-point plumbing safety inspection and a standard water heater flush are included, and there is no separate plumbing-only plan since it is bundled here.
How do Spend It Again credits work?
The plan provides credits toward specified upgrades, including $2,700 toward an HVAC system and $1,500 toward duct system replacement. Spend It Again credits are not combinable with other discounts.
